How hot tubs can increase your booking rates

Holiday makers are increasingly looking for hot tubs when booking their summer holidays or weekend getaways. According to Google, there are an average 49,500 searches per month for lodges with hot tubs and a further 33,100 searches for log cabins with hot tubs.

They are so popular that on the popular booking site Hoseasons, “lodges with hot tubs” is the only selectable option apart from location and date on their homepage.

Despite this, a quick browse through their website and others show’s only 22% of lodges have private hot tubs. This opens up a huge opportunity for forward thinking park and lodge owners to take advantage of this gap in the market.

Talking with Park Manager at Dartmoor View, Marc explained: “We definitely see our lodges with hot tubs being booked far more often than those without. Not only that, we are also able to charge a largePeople relaxing in hot tubs premium on these lodges and substantially increase our profits.”

Installing a tub isn’t as simple as browsing eBay and finding the cheapest model explains Hydropool Devon Managing Director, David Hayes. “There is a range of legislation that covers hot tubs installed in commercial settings. They need to have built in chemical feeders, ozonators, be able to withstand years of abuse and more.”

“We supply a lot of the large parks nationwide. They choose us because ours are incredibly efficient, a good price and come with up to a 10-year guarantee. They also like us because we do free delivery and support if they buy their decking from our sister company, Riviera Decking.”
