World of Park and Leisure - Master bedroom of the Wessex Spinney

by Andrew Jenkinson

The World of Park and Leisure Homes Show at Stoneleigh earlier this month had some stunning new homes on display: it’s clear that the park home industry is thriving and is full of innovation too.

With over 65 models on display, there was plenty to see. Here we have a selection of just some that grabbed our attention.

Along with established manufacturers, several new companies also turned up so making the show even more interesting.

Willerby had a big launch of their new park homes, which were very impressive, while Wessex showed their new Spinney, and Grandeur made an appearance with just eight months in business.

We also took a shine to the new portable Eco home – it tows like a touring caravan yet is built to be lived in!

National camping and caravanning week aims to get the nation walking

National camping

The Camping and Caravanning Club has joined forces with the British Mountaineering Council (BMC) to get the nation active outdoors through walking and camping.

This year, National Camping and Caravanning Week runs from Monday, May 28 to Sunday, June 3, to coincide with the Late May Bank Holiday, and is the Club’s annual celebration of all things camping and the great outdoors.

Walking is considered the number one activity for campers – whether a gentle countryside stroll from the campsite via a local pub or a more strenuous trek in the mountains. And by teaming up with the BMC, the Club wants to highlight vital footpath repair work needed in the UK’s 15 National Parks. The BMC’s Mend Our Mountains campaign aims to raise £1million for repairs.
