The popular show runs from the 8th - 11th of February at the SEC in Glasgow and showcases the latest models and widest selection of caravans and motorhomes, from the country’s leading manufacturers and dealers. The show offers customers the perfect opportunity to compare models, layouts and specifications. The event also allows consumers to discover more about holiday and leisure parks.

The Caravan and Motorhome Show 2018 took place in Manchester at the weekend and proved an exciting and productive weekend for traders.

Amy’s HR career on target at Cumbrian leisure group

A major Cumbrian leisure group has triggered a new phase in a keen clay pigeon shooter’s management career by taking her on in a senior role.

Amy Parker is now the human resources manager of Holgates Parks, based at the company's flagship Silverdale Holiday Park near Arnside in South Lakeland. The newly created post at Holgates sees Amy put in charge of recruitment, training and other support activity for the leisure group’s 150-plus employees.

Following a year of record holiday bookings, the Bridge Leisure Park group has revealed a £1 million programme of developments at its eight holiday parks across the UK. 

In Cornwall, Bridge is investing almost £200,000 at its newest holiday park Hengar Manor, with the bulk of the spend going towards new holiday caravan accommodation. 

At Trevella Park near Newquay, the group is devoting more than £150,000 to new caravans and two-floor safari lodge tents, which are the latest addition to the park’s popular glamping village.

Ready Camp, the fast-growing glamping brand from The Camping and Caravanning Club, has added six new locations for 2018.

The ‘super six’ new sites bring the total of Ready Camp locations to 44 in the UK with a total of more than 200 well-equipped, pre-pitched safari-style tents.

Ready Camp was first launched in 2015 to attract new people to the pastime while also appealing to those who like spending a night under canvas but with a few more home comforts. Last year Ready Camp revenue broke through the £1 million barrier for the first time.
