Shrewsbury and Atcham MP Daniel Kawczynski and county councillors paid a visit to a leading Shropshire caravan dealership to pledge their support for English Tourism Week from March.
A series of events is being held during the week to showcase visitor experiences in England and highlight the major contribution tourism makes to the country’s economy. Visit England says the tourism sector touches everyone – visitors, residents, businesses and employees.
“Tourism in Shropshire is one of the main income generators,” said Mr Kawczynski during his visit to Salop Leisure’s headquarters at Emstrey, Shrewsbury. “Businesses like Salop Leisure who are tapping into tourism generate a huge amount of jobs and prosperity for our county.

The Juniper lodge is the second installment from Willerby’s luxury Botanical Collection. With configurability at its core, the lodge offers owners options to shape their space, including panoramic bi-folding doors, two colour schemes and four-bed layout.

That's because Park Cliffe has joined a small elite of parks flying the coveted AA Gold Pennant, the most prestigious award given out by the AA to its highest rated parks.

A holiday park has had an electrical refurbishment thanks to specialist utility contractor Rolec Services, which installed high-voltage supplies and a park-wide lighting system.

The electrical refurbishment contract at Inverbeg Holiday Park, a site located on the banks of Loch Lomond in Scotland, was issued by Luss Estates directly to Rolec and included the design and installation of:

A family-run caravan manufacturer is celebrating 70 years of production by bringing out an anniversary model. Founded in 1948, Bailey Caravans is the longest-established UK independent designer and producer of leisure vehicles. Over seven decades, the company has grown to become one of the UK’s favourite caravan brands, accounting for approximately one in three new caravan sales. It is also one of the largest producers in Europe and, since 2011, has produced motorhomes. The firm exports to markets as far afield as Australia, New Zealand and South Korea.

Over 90,000 visitors flock to the Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show 2018

The Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show 2018 finished on 25 February after welcoming 90,107 through the doors of Birmingham’s NEC over the six-day exhibition. On Saturday alone 23,137 ticket holders visited the show, with visitors including families enjoying a day out during half-term holidays. 

Key exhibitors confirmed a strong February event. “It was a tremendous event for Swift and the show continues to grow in importance,” said Nick Page, Swift Group Commercial Director. “Overall sales were very strong across the entire portfolio with standout performances on motorhomes and holiday homes. We were delighted that the launch of Swift Sprite Super at the show attracted considerable interest, generating a real buzz and a very encouraging level of retail sales.”

Shrewsbury company to celebrate Welsh links on St David’s Day

A Shrewsbury-based leisure company will become Welsh for the day as staff join in the celebrations for St David’s Day on Thursday, March 1.

Salop Leisure, whose Shrewsbury headquarters stand at the gateway to Wales, will be proudly flying the Welsh flag, some staff will be wearing traditional Welsh costumes and the company’s Love Coffee restaurant will also be serving up a special menu with a flavour of Wales.

In addition, customers will be handed complimentary daffodils, the national flower of Wales, on their arrival. Love Coffee’s treats will include Welsh cakes, bara brith and leek and potato soup.
